Why Hedgehog

You might be wondering what all the fuss is about regarding using the services of Cheeky Hedgehog. In short, we believe that everyone should offer practical support to local businesses, whether they're in your local area or elsewhere in the country. Every time you buy a product from overseas, money leaves our shores, strengthening another country's economy and reducing the number of local jobs. Realistically, if you want us to support your job and income, you need to play your part by supporting other people's jobs by buying local.

Over the last few decades, we've witnessed far too many jobs and even whole businesses moving offshore. While we agree that developed countries have a responsibility to help developing countries, this should never be at the expense of the local economy and jobs. There's a very fine line between helping other countries and ruining our own.

On a personal note, I've been made redundant three times so far. If I hadn't changed jobs several years ago, it would have been four times. Two businesses moved offshore, one had to reduce its workforce due to cheap imports and then closed, and the other reduced staff by sending work overseas.
